After the difficult 2007/08 financial year, BKN biostrom AG anticipates a boom in the Biogas sector in the current year

Vechta, 10 November 2008. Even though the final figures for the last financial year 2007/08 (30/09) have not been released, the Board anticipates targets will not be met. Losses in the Biodiesel business could not be fully offset by Biogas business activities.

BKN biostrom AG sells its biodiesel business.Group reorientation thus concluded successfully. 

Vechta, 17 September 2008. BKN biostrom AG has sold its biodiesel subsidiary, BioDiesel Bokel GmbH, as planned. The aim is to concentrate exclusively on the project planning of biogas plants in future. 

With this sale the company has ended its activities in the biodiesel market and thus successfully concluded the reorientation of the BKN Group.

Vechta, 2, Juli 2008. Die BKN biostrom AG hat sich durch den Abschluss eines Kooperationsvertrags mit einem nordostdeutschen Planungs- und Ingenieurbüro ein Paket von über 40 Biogasprojekten in unterschiedlichen Entwicklungsstadien gesichert. Das Schwergewicht liegt auf Anlagen zwischen 150 kW und 350 kW Leistung, die von dem kürzlich novellierten EEG überproportional profitieren werden. Der Vorstand der BKN biostrom gab das Umsatzvolumen, welches aus diesen Projekten in den nächsten 2-3 Jahren generiert werden soll, mit über 50 Mio. EUR an.

Vechta, 2 July 2008. BKN biostrom AG has secured a package of more than 40 biogas projects in different stages of development by signing a cooperation agreement with a planning and engineering firm in north-eastern Germany. The major weight is placed on plants with an output of between 150 kW and 350 kW, which will benefit over-proportionately from the recently amended EEG. The Managing Board of BKN biostrom announced a revenue volume of more than EUR 50 m to be generated from these projects in the next 2-3 years.

Bokel/Vechta, 4 June 2008. BKN biostrom AG (previously BKN BioKraftstoff Nord AG) has realised considerable company growth according to the preliminary H1 figures (31 March 2008). With sales of EUR 20.7 m (previous year: EUR 1.6 m), the company generated operating profit (EBIT) of EUR 1.3 m (previous year: EUR 0.2 m). This allowed the company to continue its positive development despite a difficult market environment in Germany at the moment. As for the current H2, the Managing Board expects a continuation of the growth dynamic, all of which should come from the ongoing activities of the Biogas segment.

Gemäß § 62 Abs. 3 UmwG wird bekannt gemacht, dass eine Verschmelzung der BIOSTROM Energy Group AG mit Sitz in Vechta, eingetragen im Handelsregister des Amtsgerichts Oldenburg unter der Registernummer HRB 201447, als übertragende Gesellschaft auf die BKN BioKraftstoff Nord AG mit Sitz in Sprakensehl-Bokel, eingetragen im Handelsregister des Amtsgerichts Hildesheim unter der Registernummer HRB 200401, als übernehmende Gesellschaft erfolgen soll.

Confirmation of a significant jump in sales and earnings

Sprakensehl-Bokel, 21 December 2007. The Supervisory Board of BKN BioKraftstoff Nord AG has approved the IFRS financial statements for financial year 2006/2007 (30 September), which received an unrestricted opinion from the auditor. The financial statements confirm preliminary reports from 12 November that BKN’s group sales had reached EUR 20.746 million, with EBIT of EUR 2.145 million.
